Jeffrey Tabbert, DO
Licensed psychiatrist. Originally from Michigan. Undergraduate at Adrian College. Graduated medical school from Michigan State University – College of Osteopathic Medicine. Completed psychiatric residency at Albany Medical Center. Adheres to his initial training and values of taking a holistic and biopsychosocial approach to his patients’ evaluation and treatment.
Susan Decker, RN, MS, NPP
Psychiatric nurse practitioner. Board-certified. Experience in psychiatric disorders, medication management, and individual psychotherapy.
Candice Ferritto, NPP-BC
Board certified family psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
Provides psychiatric evaluations and treatments for psychiatric disorders; including individual and family psychotherapy and medication management.
Katrina Smith, PsyD
Licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with individual adults in community and college settings.
Katrina provides short-term and long-term therapy using a client-centered approach. Her work is informed by the knowledge that clients’ current issues are affected by longstanding patterns of thought and behavior, so it can be important to help clients recognize
underlying factors contributing to their symptoms as well as work directly on relieving those symptoms.
Her approach to therapy is also enhanced by experience teaching classes in mindful meditation and stress reduction.
Amy Anderson-Reid, LMHC
Licensed mental health counselor with over 25 years of experience providing mental health and substance use treatment. She specializes in providing supportive therapy to assist in reaching personal goals and resolving emotional conflict. Special areas of expertise include supporting those with chronic illness, helping people to adjust to transitions, and addressing relationship concerns. Also supporting those who are healing from companion animal loss. Amy works with individuals and couples providing services from late teens to seniors.
Renae DeAngelo, LCSW-R
Licensed Certified Social worker with extensive experience working with individuals, couples and families. Areas of expertise include; sexual abuse, trauma, eating disorders, domestic violence, chemical dependency and general mental health and wellness.
Uses CBT, DBT, psycho dynamic therapy and interpersonal therapy.
Jake Holden, LCSW-R
Licensed clinical social worker in practice since 2011. He works with a wide range of people, from late adolescents to older adults, and with a wide range of problems and issues including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relational conflict and loss.
Jake’s orientation to therapy is informed by object relations, self psychological and contemporary relational therapy. He works in an open and collaborative atmosphere that enables patients to increase their awareness of the underlying patterns that determine their experience of themselves and their relationships, and in doing so, to experience healing, growth and greater fulfillment in their lives.
Jake holds graduate degrees in English from the University of Connecticut and in social work from the University at Albany
Cynthia Sferruzza, LCSW-R
Licensed certified social worker with more than 25 years of experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and couples, using strength-based interventions. Ms. Sferruzza helps children with academic and behavioral issues while supporting their families and strengthening family relationships. She has extensive experience with effective treatment approaches for anxiety and depression and she has provided Field Training for SUNY Albany Social Work students. In addition to childhood behavioral and school issues, Ms. Sferruzza’s specialties include women’s issues and life transitions. With empathy and compassion, Ms. Sferruzza helps her clients discover their inner strength and resilience as they create the lives they want and find the happiness they deserve.
Lori Stewart, LCSW-R
Licensed clinical social worker, with extensive experience experience treating individuals, couples and group work. Expertise in treating adult trauma, mood disorders, anxiety and depression.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities including; cognitive-behavioral and supportive psychotherapies.
Kim Taormina, M. Ed., LMHC
Kim has over 20 years experience treating individuals and couples in the mental health and personal growth field. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, women’s issues, and couples counseling. Because she is also a trained yoga and meditation instructor, Kim is able to deliver mindfulness and stress reduction practices along with the therapeutic modalities of CBT, ACT, Thought Field Therapy, and EMDR in her client-centered therapy sessions.
