Professionals in our practice work with clients whose life experiences have contributed to struggles with self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and blocked personal growth. All of the clinicians at Bick Wanck MD and Associates are licensed clinicians with years of experience. They are life-long students, constantly learning the latest approaches in wellness and treatment in order to better help you.

Our Staff

Psychiatrists are medical doctors (MD and DO) who went on to 4 years of specialty training after medical school. They evaluate emotional suffering and disturbed thinking and help it with psychotherapy and medicine.
Nurse Practitioners (NPP) can do anything a psychiatrist can do. They receive advanced training in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. They prescribe medicine and can do talk therapy.
Psychologists (PhD, PsyD, and EdD) are graduates of doctoral programs in psychology. They have had extensive training in various forms of psychotherapy and psychological testing.
Social Workers (LCSW-R) have master’s degrees and years of training. They are licensed and certified to do assessments and provide various types of psychotherapy and counseling.
Licensed Mental Health Clinicians (LMHC) have master’s degrees in psychology and have had years of training. They are licensed to do assessments and provide various types of psychotherapy and counseling.

Jeffrey Tabbert, DO

Jeffrey-Tabbert-DOLicensed psychiatrist.  Originally from Michigan.  Undergraduate at Adrian College.  Graduated medical school from Michigan State University – College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Completed psychiatric residency at Albany Medical Center.  Adheres to his initial training and values of taking a holistic and biopsychosocial approach to his patients’ evaluation and treatment.

Katrina Smith, PsyD

Katrina-Smith-PsyD Licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with individual adults in community and college settings.

Katrina provides short-term and long-term therapy using a client-­centered approach. Her work is informed by the knowledge that clients’ current issues are affected by longstanding patterns of thought and behavior, so it can be important to help clients recognize
underlying factors contributing to their symptoms as well as work directly on relieving those symptoms.

Her approach to therapy is also enhanced by experience teaching classes in mindful meditation and stress reduction.

Amy Anderson-Reid, LMHC

Licensed mental health counselor with over 25 years of experience providing mental health and substance use treatment.  She specializes in providing supportive therapy to assist in reaching personal goals and resolving emotional conflict.  Special areas of expertise include supporting those with chronic illness, helping people to adjust to transitions, and addressing relationship concerns.  Also supporting those who are healing from companion animal loss.  Amy works with individuals and couples providing services from late teens to seniors.

Kim Taormina, LMHC

Kim has over 20 years experience treating individuals and couples in the mental health and personal growth field. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, women’s issues, and couples counseling. Because she is also a trained yoga and meditation instructor, Kim is able to deliver mindfulness and stress reduction practices along with the therapeutic modalities of CBT, ACT, Thought Field Therapy, and EMDR in her client-centered therapy sessions.
